Hilscher and CoreTigo Cooperation: IO-Link Wireless and Fieldbus Technology

In order to promote the wireless version of the IO-Link fieldbus system, automation specialist Hilscher and start-up CoreTigo have agreed to cooperarte.
The two companies now want to bring their technologies together and offer end customers complete solutions.

Nov, 2018 – In the world of automation, the point-to-point network IO-Link has become established, above all for the connection of sensors and actuators. IO-Link Wireless is a technology that adds a wireless solution to the system.

To further this technology, Hilscher and CoreTigo have announced a collaboration in the field of IO-Link wireless and fieldbus technology. Hilscher has many years of experience in fieldbus, real-time Ethernet and cable-based IO-Link solutions. The company is particularly well-known for its network controller family trading under “netX”. CoreTigo was founded as a start-up with a view to the need for flexibility and flexibility in production automation.

The two companies now want to bring their technologies together and offer end customers complete solutions. In this mix of technologies, the elements of the IO-Link wireless master meet fieldbus slave gateways. An appropriate demonstration took place at this year’s workshop for IO-Link wireless developers in Hamburg.
