Near Field Communication System

IO-Link Wireless Near Field Communication Solution

Contactless Near Field IO-Link Wireless Communication

Mass customization demands are driving the Manufacturing and Supply Chain industries for deploying high-performance motion and mobility solutions. Along with Industry 4.0 efficiency demands, connectivity becomes a challenge, and wireless innovations are key enablers driving such automation solutions.

A smart conveying system with motion-controlled contactless high-speed shuttles, or a cross belt system with similar carriers are examples of such applications that introduce requirements that wired solutions or traditional wireless technologies (such as Wi-Fi or Bluetooth) cannot address.

The system is comprised of components both on the Master and on the Device:

The IO-Link Wireless Master requires a Radiated Cable Antenna and a Master Signal Router. These provide contactless RF communication from the Master for challenging and motion-related industrial automation applications. The radiated cable antenna runs along the smart conveying system’s track, and the IO-Link Wireless Signal Router enables efficient connection of multiple IO-Link Wireless Masters to a single Radiating Cable line.

TigoNFA is a near-field communication antenna, specifically designed for TigoHub i4, TigoBridge A2/B2 and other TigoAir SOM integrated devices. TigoNFA is designed to maximize the RF signal power received when placed in close proximity to the radiated cable while having low far-field radiation efficiency. The low radiation efficiency provides high immunity to external interferences, such as Wi-Fi signals, Bluetooth, and IO-Link Wireless signals transmitted from other master units.
